Samhain's November-Coming-Fire Art Post

We All Want Our Time In Hell...

If’n you aren’t familiar with Samhain and their place in the Danzig oeuvre (look at that fancy word) you can check out last week’s post about their debut album.

NOVEMBER-COMING-FIRE

Out of all four of the Samhain official releases, perhaps November is the most revered and recognized, and for good reason. In my humble opinion this is peak Samhain, where the sound formed the most cohesively and had shed all their Misfits tendencies (despite a Misfits song being on here, which is almost entirely transformed) and just before the Danzig band swagger entered the picture, which it does, side-burned, and shirtless-ly like a fist on the next album.

It’s also the album that inspired my to make these posters for the month of November. Nothing feels more like November to me. Darker and more sinister than October, with arcane evils and long, ritualistic nights under orange moons. Long gone are the friendlier, and haphazard spooks of October. This is Fucking-November-Coming-Fire.
